Landmark agreement supporting Northern Rivers NSW brand

to sign a Memorandum of Understanding underpinning the new Northern Rivers
NSW brand at Richmond Valley Council Chambers in Casino.
The Northern Rivers Joint Organisation (NRJO) has been involved in Northern Rivers Together, the
regional Steering Committee behind the Northern Rivers NSW brand, since its inception.
On behalf of the region's mayors, NRJO Chair Cr Danielle Mulholland highlighted the value of the brand
to the region: “The Northern Rivers Brand reflects the ethos of the Northern Rivers Joint Organisation
which aims for the region to work together to build a cohesive, strong and vibrant community. This is a
unique partnership of local government and private enterprise combining to create an overarching
brand which will become synonymous with the region and provide a solid foundation for its future.”
Northern Rivers Together interim Chair Simon Stahl warmly welcomed the support of all the Northern
Rivers’ local councils and mayors, as well as the brand's Founding Partners who were in attendance at
the signing ceremony: The Casino Food Co-Op, Norco, Richmond Dairies, North Coast Petroleum,
Summerland Credit Union, Southern Cross University and Stone & Wood.
